بم دایره المعارفی از روشهای ساختمان سازی در خاورمیانه قدیم ،خانه ها ،گنبدها ،سه کنجیها ،برج و باروهایی که از خشت خام ساخته شده اند و تکنیک آن ها به دوران کتاب مقدس برمی گردد. این شهر قدیمی از دهه ۱۹۳۰ تا حد زیادی متروکه شده و حتی بخش های بسیاری از آن رو به زوال نهادند.کار بازسازی آغاز شده بود.
